28/07/2022: Maryborough Hockey is again mourning the loss of another Life Member.  Vicki Warren OAM spent a lifetime devoted to sport, in particular hockey.  She received many awards and accolades during her life including an OAM, but her most recent honour of a Life Membership of the MDHA in 2021 was indeed special to her.

Vale Beverley Baker - 27/07/22 Aged 98

27/07/2022: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss of another favourite daughter.  Beverley Baker was a Life Member of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association.  This honour was bestowed on her in 1980 after a lifetime of dedication to our sport.

Vale John Hurley - 03/03/22 Aged 91

03/03/22: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss of another one of its favourite sons and Life Members. John Francis Hurley was honoured with a Life Membership of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association (MDHA) in 1968.

Vale Jack Gregg - 11/09/20 Aged 95

11/09/20: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss of another Life Member. Jack Gregg was awarded this honour by the Maryborough & District Hockey Association (MDHA) in 1977, after a lifetime of dedication to hockey.

Vale June Heselwood - 05/06/20 Aged 86

05/06/20: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss of a favourite daughter. June Heselwood was a Life Member of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association (MDHA). She received this honour in 1992, after a lifetime of dedication to hockey.

Vale Bevin Warren - 13/05/17 Aged 90

14/05/17: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss one of its Life Members. Bevin Warren was bestowed with a Life Membership of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association in 1991, after having been presented with a Service Award in 1981.

Vale Ron Heselwood - 23/12/15 Aged 83

31/12/15: Departed this life on 23 December 2015 aged 83. Ron Heselwood was a Life Member of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association. He received this honour in 1989, after a lifetime of dedication to the sport that he (and his family) loved. Proof of his family’s love of the sport saw his wife June given a similar honour in 1992.

Vale Jim Wroe - 17/09/15 Aged 75

19/9/15: The Maryborough hockey community is mourning the loss of a favourite son. Jim Wroe was one of nature’s true gentleman. He was a life member not only of the Maryborough & District Hockey Association, but also of his beloved Wallaroos. A life member in every respect of the word, Jim was still active with the MDHA and Wallaroos.
