Fraser Coast Hockey Representatives: A Big Month on the field for Fraser Coast Junior Reps

It’s been a huge month for Fraser Coast hockey, with our representatives travelling the country and proudly wearing the colours.

Under 16 Boys and Girls State Championships
Our Under 16 Boys teams travelled to Townsville and the Under 16 Girls Team travelled to Rockhampton to compete at the respective State Championships from 23 to 26^th September 2026. The squads showed great spirit and teamwork, the girls finishing 8^th in a very talented Division 1 pool of teams.  Mia Nugent captained the young side and the team had a great tournament.  The boys had a great tournament remaining undefeated throughout tournament and winning the Division 2 Competition beating Sunny Coast in the final. The boy’s Final was a nail biter, the team lead by Co-Captains Mitchell Wilcox and Percy Schulz. Mitchell scoring first to even it up at one all and Percy securing the win in the third Quarter to take out the final 2-1.Mitchell Wilcox was named Player of the Final, and the Boys were awarded the Prestigious #Team Qld Award!! What a great achievement.

Congratulations to our players who have been selected in the QLD Under 16 Squads to trial in February 2027. Leo Baker, Hamish Cook, Hugh Campbell, Clare Sauer, Claire Taylor, Ella Helmstedt and MacKenzie Quaill.

Under 14 Boys and Girls: National Championships, Canberra 4 to 10 October 2026.
Two of our players, Jacob Burt and Emmi Scanes represented Queensland at the Under 14 National Championships in Canberra. Competing against the best in the country, they helped Qld Sabres Boys finish 6^th and Qld Embers Girls won the silver Medal in a hard-fought final going down 1 nil to NSW. Well done Emmi and Jake!!! It’s a fantastic achievement and a credit to their hard work and the Fraser Coast pathway.
